Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Manusignal Hardware Simulator at hardware-debugger.manusignal.com (the “Service”): the browser Arduino simulator, the guided lessons, the AI coach, saved projects and purchases. It is written for students, parents, teachers and schools.

Who we are

The Service is operated by Manusignal, Vinh Trinh, Dong Loc, Nghe An, Vietnam (“we”, “us”). Contact us at hello@manusignal.com.

What we collect

• Account data. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your email address, any name you provide, and sign-in credentials. We receive a user identifier and your email.
• Learning data. Projects you save (title, circuit, code, chat messages, snapshots), lesson progress, and daily usage counters (compiles and AI requests) used to apply free-plan limits.
• Payment data. Order code, plan, amount, currency, status, and any VAT invoice details you provide (company name, tax code, address, email). We never receive or store your bank or card credentials. Bank transfers happen in your own banking app; card or wallet payments are handled by the relevant payment provider.
• Technical data. An anonymous cookie identifies a guest browser for daily limits, and IP addresses are used for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Preferences such as language and lesson progress are stored in your browser.
• Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to count page views and product events (for example, a lesson started or passed). It is aggregate and does not use advertising cookies.
• AI processing. When you use an AI feature, the text you submit and the relevant circuit or code context are sent to AI model providers (for example OpenAI, Groq or Google) to generate the response. Do not type personal or sensitive information into prompts.
• Compilation. Sketches are compiled on our own compiler service. Results are cached in memory by a hash of the sketch.

Children and students

The Service is built for students, including children. If you are under 16, use the Service with the involvement of a parent, guardian or teacher, and any purchase must be made by an adult. Teachers and schools are responsible for obtaining any consent their institution requires before creating accounts for students. Parents or guardians can email us at any time to see, correct or delete a child’s account and saved projects.

How we use information

• Provide the Service: run the simulator, save progress, compile sketches, answer AI requests.
• Apply free-plan limits and prevent abuse.
• Process purchases and provide support.
• Understand which lessons work and improve them.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not show third-party advertising in the Service.

Who we share it with

Service providers that process data on our behalf: Clerk (accounts), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Render (compiler hosting), AI model providers (content you submit to AI features), and payment providers or banks involved in your purchase. We share only what each provider needs to perform its role. We may disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep it

Account and project data are kept until you delete them or ask us to. Daily usage counters roll over and are pruned. Compile cache entries are held in memory and disappear when the compiler restarts. Purchase records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to processing, by emailing hello@manusignal.com. We respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your saved projects and chat history. You can also clear local preferences at any time in your browser.

Cookies and local storage

• ms-anon — anonymous httpOnly cookie for guest daily limits.
• ms-locale — your language choice.
• ms-coach-progress, ms-profile — lesson progress and learning preferences on this device.
• Clerk session — keeps you signed in.

There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, hashed identifiers and a sandboxed, non-root compiler service. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and contact us if you notice anything wrong.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the Service or by email to account holders before they take effect.
